Organic Seed. A French Heirloom variety, producing deeply ribbed or scalloped, green fruit, maturing to golden-orange. Flesh is orange with a mild spicy, nutmeg flavour . Store for 3 to 4 months. Also known as the Butternut squash of Provence, Nutmeg Squash, and Musk Squash of Provence
Cultivation: Squashes are extremely vigorous growers and trailing varieties need a lot of room. Winter squashes are grown for storage. They need a rich fertile free draining soil, well manured or composted in a sheltered site as they dislike cold winds.
Pests & Diseases: Young plants need protection from slugs and snails and some plants may not set fruit in cold summers.
