Vigorous, upright climbing species fuchsia. Producing hanging clusters of funnel-shaped, red to deep crimson, slender blossoms up to 5cm long, followed by purple edible berries. Leaves are large and hairy, medium to dark green with reddish veining. Branches are red when young, aging to brown and peeling. Suitable for indoor cultivation only as frost tender

Native to Southern Peru, Bolivia and Northern Argentina at altitudes of 1,000 to 3,000m. This large shrub/small tree requires plenty of root space
