Strawberry Baron Solemacher, Wild (Fragaria vesca ‘Baron Solemacher’)


A disease resistant, repeat flowering,  spreading perennial. Fruiting from June to first frosts. Fruits are fragrant and sweet. One of the larger of the alpine strawberries.  Ideal for hanging baskets or containers

Cultivation:   Grow in humus rich soil in sun or partial shade. Plants need replacing every few years.

Height:  20-25cm

Culinary Uses:  Leaves can by added to herbal teas. Fruit are eaten fresh, added to drinks, deserts, juice, jam, syrup and wines
