A hardy, sub-shrub with thin narrow spikes of dark lavender-blue flowers. An heirloom variety noted for its sweet fragrance, compact habit and hardiness. Helps to deter garden pests, attractive to bees and butterflies

Cultivation:  Grow in well-drained soil in full sun

Culinary Uses:  Flowers are crystalized for desert and cake decoration, used fresh in salads, jams, jellies, vinegars and ice creams. Leaves can be used in salads, marinades, soups and stews or used to make herbal teas.
